Subaru has unveiled a new range of electric vehicles (EV) that will be available on the UK market in 2026, the highlights of which is an updated Solterra, an all-new Uncharted compact SUV and the rugged E-Outback.
Each model is built on the manufacturer’s latest innovation of the e-Subaru Global Platform, offering increased power, longer driving range and faster charging times.
The Subaru Uncharted is the manufacturer’s first all-electric SUV and aims to offer both urban and off-road capability with a compact 5.5m turning circle and 210mm of ground clearance for versatility across multiple terrains. The SUV is anticipated to arrive in the UK in early 2026 and specific details surrounding the launch will be announced closer to the time.
Right now, the manufacturer has confirmed three powertrain options will be available. The dual-motor all-wheel drive has a 77kWh battery, producing 344PS and can go from 0-62mph in 5.0 seconds. It also has up to 292 of range and 1,500kg towing capacity. The second option is the long-range front-wheel drive using the same battery, with a single motor generating up to 363 miles of range and a standard front-wheel drive, featuring a smaller 57.7kWh battery, offering up to 276 miles of range.
The new Subaru E-Outback is set to launch in the UK in summer 2026, and is powered by a 74.7kWh battery, delivers 380PS and accelerates from 0-62mpg in 4.4 seconds. It also has a range of more than 279 miles. Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive is paired with a dual X-mode terrain selection system and 210mm of ground clearance for off-road capability. It also supports towing of 1,500kg.
The Solterra will also return next year with upgrades across design, performance and technology. This includes an updated dual e-axle setup that delivers 344PS and goes from 0-62mph in 5.1 seconds. It will also feature a new 73.1kWh battery, providing a range that exceeds 310 miles and supports 30-minute rapid charging.
