Watch episode 8 of Positive Energy – powered by The Eco Experts, with sustainability communications expert Lucy Shea in conversation with Chris Hambling and Roland Ellison
For episode 8 of Positive Energy, we’re proud to welcome Lucy Shea, the CEO of Futerra, a company with Climate Solutions Provider status under the UN-backed Race to Zero campaign.
Futerra works across continents and cultures to deliver sustainable development solutions, and has worked alongside BEWorks and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) to pioneer the low carbon lifestyles wheel (The Action Wheel).
The Action Wheel is a framework that uses the mitigation measures outlined by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) as the basis for a series of simple behavioural changes that individual consumers can make to significantly reduce their carbon emissions.
The idea is to give consumers a clear action plan to follow that is specific, actionable and measurable. The Action Plan touches all areas of our everyday lives: from how we shop, to what we eat, how we get around and how we heat and power our homes.
We spoke to Lucy about The Action Wheel, the state of sustainability, Trump, paper straws and how to stay positive about mitigating climate change in a period of pushback.
