- We named Puraflow Renewables ‘best for customer service’ in our best heat pump installers rundown
- The company also installs solar panels and batteries for homes across the UK
- Puraflow receives outstanding feedback for high-quality installations

Most of the heat pump and solar installers we review here at the Eco Experts work with their own heat pumps, or just one or two selected models. Puraflow Renewables, however, offers a whole range of them.
The company’s UK-wide coverage means it’s also highly likely to serve your area.
Despite this wide remit, Puraflow has a personal touch that earned it the title ‘best for customer service’ in our rundown of the UK’s best heat pump installers. This may be partly down to the fact that it only serves residential customers.
Could Puraflow be the perfect partner for your switch to renewables? Our Puraflow Renewables review takes a closer look at the company’s products, services and customer feedback.

Puraflow Renewables overview
Launched in Nottinghamshire in 2022, Puraflow hasn’t been around for as long as some of its competitors. However its teams boast more than a decade’s worth of experience, and the company is growing fast.
Puraflow now serves customers across the UK with a range of renewable installations, including heat pumps, solar PV systems and batteries. It also offers special tariffs to help customers keep running costs as low as possible.
The company also now offers its own smart energy tariffs for solar PV and heat pump customers. These tariffs slash the price of your electricity during off-peak hours.
Puraflow’s website is clean and unfussy, with sections for solar PV and battery storage as well as for ASHPs. We would like to see more detailed information about heat pumps, solar panels and batteries it installs, however. Compared with some rivals, the website feels sparse on detail.

But the proof of the installer is in the installing, and that’s where Puraflow excels.
Its Facebook page boasts more than 1,500 likes and followers combined. Customer feedback is outstanding, with 83% of all Trustpilot reviews awarding the maximum five stars. There’s particular praise for the company’s friendly communication, quick installations and conscientious aftercare. We’ll explore customer feedback in more detail below.
Like all the installers we consider for review, Puraflow helps you claim any available grants for your green installation project. If you’re having heat pumps installed, the team will apply for the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) grant on your behalf.
What heat pumps and solar panels does Puraflow offer?
Puraflow offers a wider range of heat pumps and solar panels than many of its rivals.
For heat pumps, Puraflow works with Samsung, Mitsubishi and Vaillant. We find the new Mitsubishi Ecodan R290 particularly impressive, and named it ‘best for hot water’ in our list of the best air source heat pumps. It produces water as hot as 75°C, so it gets your radiators as hot as a boiler can. It comes with a five-year warranty when fitted by an approved installer such as Puraflow.

For solar panels and storage batteries, Puraflow works with several leading manufacturers including Longi and SunPower. Both these brands appear in our rundown of the best solar panels you can buy.
Puraflow’s wide range of brands and products has significant advantages for you. It means the team can discuss the pros and cons of different products with you, and help you choose the very best fit for your home, needs and budget.
What are Puraflow’s Smart Energy Tariffs?
It’s important to opt for a special renewable energy tariff when you’re having green energy systems installed. This is especially true for heat pumps, which can be expensive to run if you’re on a standard variable energy tariff.
A good tariff dramatically reduces heat pump running costs by offering electricity at massively discounted rates. These rates, which far undercut Ofgem’s price cap, apply during off-peak hours or when running your heat pump.
Puraflow’s Smart Energy Tariff is a “time of use” tariff, which means you get reduced rates during certain times of day. Annoyingly, Puraflow doesn’t publish details of its discounted rates (unlike Octopus Energy, for example). The exact rate is likely to depend on where in the UK you live, but a guideline would be useful.
The tariff also helps you make money from solar panels under the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG). Puraflow’s tariff pays you more than the standard rate for selling excess energy back to the grid during peak demand periods.
What qualifications does Puraflow have?
Like all the heat pump and solar panel installers we recommend, Puraflow is MCS-certified. This means its installers and products meet strict green industry standards for quality, competence and compliance under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme.
Puraflow is also registered by TrustMark, a government-backed scheme that certifies installations as safe and carried out by experienced, qualified professionals.
These accreditations offer you peace of mind that the work is safe, reliable and will deliver the energy benefits and savings you’re hoping for. They’re also a prerequisite if you want to access government grants for home improvements and claim any payments for excess energy you produce.

What do Puraflow’s customers say?
Puraflow has only been in business for a few years, so it doesn’t have as many online reviews as some of its rivals. Its Trustpilot count at the time of writing is 120, compared with 948 for Warma UK and well over 5,700 for Project Solar.
What the review tally lacks in size, it generally makes up for in quality. Reviews from verified Puraflow customers praise the team’s friendly but professional approach, and add to an overall score of 4.4 (“Excellent”).
Where customers post a complaint, Puraflow replies quickly and offers to get to the bottom of the issue. That suggests a commitment to keeping customers happy.
Here are a few recent Trustpilot reviews from verified Puraflow customers:

“Have a big old house in Leeds and needed two heat pumps to make it work. Was worried about enormous radiators but managed to find some nice cast iron ones that look gorgeous. “I was rather sceptical about changing to a heat pump after having gas boilers for years, but Dave put our minds at rest with no pressure selling. We have been running now for a month and can’t fault the system at all. Would recommend the system and Puraflow to anyone considering HP.” – Trevor Chapman, March 2025
“Everyone involved was professional, knowledgeable and efficient, ensuring that my new heat pump and solar panels were installed flawlessly. The work was completed to a high standard at a competitive price, and I couldn’t be happier with the results.” – Bern W, Jan 2025
“Brilliant service. Recently had air source (heat pump) installed over the Xmas period. The team couldn’t be more helpful, efficient and clean. Will be looking to add solar panels in spring.” – Rebecca, Jan 2025
Should you use Puraflow Renewables?
Puraflow Renewables is a nationwide installer with a broader range of heat pumps, solar panels and batteries than most of its rivals. It’s just a shame that you can’t see much upfront information about these products on its website.
