Ofgem: energy price cap to rise by 2% in October

Energy bills for a typical household will rise by £35 a year from 1 October to 31 December 2025, Ofgem has announced today (27 August). The rise means a typical dual-fuel household will see their annual bill rise to £1,755 per year from the current annual price cap of £1,720.
