Carrier, a US-based heating solutions company, has launched a series of air-to-water heat pumps for residential and commercial buildings.

The monobloc Carrier AquaSnap 30AWH-P system uses propane and is available in eight types. These include two three-phase models and six single-phase models with a normal capacity from 4 kilowatts (KW) to 14kW, as well as being coefficient of performance from 4.90 to 4.80.

The smallest within the range measures 946mm x 560mm x 927mm, and has a weight of 79kg, whereas the largest system is 946mm x 560mm x 1.3mm and weighs 129kg.

What size heat pump do I need?‘ is one of the most common questions people ask when they begin their clean energy journey. Find out which one you need by reading our dedicated guide.

When in the heating mode, the systems can reportedly operate at an outside air temperature of -20oC, while for cooling, temperatures can reach up to 46oC.

Carrier said: “Providing an impressive price-to-performance ratio, this monobloc has a compact footprint and low refrigerant charge, further helping to minimise impact.

“AquaSnap 39AWH-P can be cascaded with up to four units for heating and cooling requirements in light commercial applications. Each of the units can individually meet the requirements of the space in which it is installed.”

The range also features a built-in Gateway, which allows a remote management of home comfort via the Carrier Comfort Management App.
