What Size Vaillant Boiler Do You Need?

The boiler size that will be right for your home will depend on a number of factors, including how many bathrooms, taps and radiators your property has. As a rough guide, you’ll need:

  • For a home with 1 bathroom and up to 10 radiators: 24kW to 27kW boiler
  • For a home with 1 or 2 bathrooms and up to 15 radiators: 28kW to 34kW boiler
  • For a home with 2 or more bathrooms and up to 20 radiators: 35kW to 42kW boiler

A system boiler heats water directly from the mains when you turn on your central heating, warming your radiators. However, when you turn on your hot water tap or shower, the hot water from your boiler is first pumped through a hot water cylinder which must be stored in your loft or upper levels of your home.
