Teesside Solar Panels
In a collaboration between NAREC (National Renewable Energy Centre) and Middlesbrough Council, a one day workshop is being offered to those small businesses on Teesside who are involved in electrical and plumbing contracting or engineering services, and are looking to take their first step into the micro renewables and low carbon installation sector.
During the course, delegates will explore the advantages offered by MCS (Microgeneration scheme) accreditation and discuss the specific skill set required for PV solar and thermal installation in addition to biomass and heat pump technology.
Despite being under the climatic influences of the North Sea and the rain shadow caused by the Pennines, leading to a tendency for cold, dull and wet weather (and less than 1,200 hours of annual sunshine) Teesside residents and business owners can still enjoy the financial and environmental benefits offered by the installation of a PV solar array.
